Sticky and non-sticky bonuses explained

With a sticky bonus, the bonus money stays in your balance but can never be withdrawn; it is removed when you cash out. With a non-sticky bonus, you play your own money first and the bonus only comes into play once it is gone.

Non-sticky bonuses are usually worth more, because a win on your own money can be withdrawn without touching the bonus.

Sticky bonuses

Deposit GH₵200 and get a GH₵200 sticky bonus: you play with GH₵400. After you finish the wagering and withdraw, the GH₵200 bonus is deducted. Sticky bonuses are also called phantom or cashable-not bonuses.

Non-sticky bonuses

Your GH₵200 deposit is played first. If you win early, you can withdraw and give up the bonus with no wagering. If you lose the deposit, the GH₵200 bonus activates with its wagering. They are also called parachute or hybrid bonuses.

How to tell them apart

Look in the bonus terms for phrases like the bonus amount is not withdrawable or real money is wagered first. If the terms do not say, ask support before you deposit. Our terms guide lists other clauses to read.

No, the type is set by the offer.

Can I have both at the same time?

Responsible gaming

Play only if you are 18+ and it stays fun

These rules apply on every page of this site. A young casino has less history to judge it by, so the limits matter more.

18+ only

Adults only, everywhere

You must be 18 or older, and older in some countries. A casino can ask for ID before your first withdrawal, and new casinos often do.

New brands

Start small with an unknown casino

Deposit an amount you would accept losing to a failed withdrawal, and request a small cash-out early to see how the casino handles it.
